ADVANTAGES OF LITHIUM IRON PHOSPHATE BATTERIES
Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4 or LFP) offer many advantages over lead acid batteries and other lithium batteries. Some advantages include: longer life, little to no maintenance, extremely safe, light weight, improved discharge and charge efficiency. LiFePO4 batteries are not the cheapest on the market, but their long life and minimal maintenance make them the best investment you can make over time.
LITHIUM HAS A LONG SERVICE LIFE
Lithium-iron phosphate batteries last up to 6,000 cycles at a depth of discharge (Dod) of 80 percent, with no performance degradation. The average life of lead-acid batteries is only two years.
NO ACTIVE MAINTENANCE
Blauhoff lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries do not require active maintenance to extend their life. Also, the batteries do not exhibit memory effects, and because of low self-discharge (<2% per month), you can store them for a longer period of time. Lead-acid batteries, on the other hand, require special maintenance. Failure to do so will further shorten the life of lead-acid batteries.
